Prachi & Tanveer
Prachi expected boredom when she met Tanveer in a bland hotel lobby for their arranged meeting through their families —she with her English literature and he with his credit card sales after a cricket dream cut short. They seemed mismatched, but she was drawn to his discipline, and he to her poetic chaos.
Their steady rhythm was tested when Prachi fell ill with typhoid while her family was away. Embarrassed, she called him. Without hesitation, Tanveer arrived with medicines and stayed. For ten days, he checked her fever, fed her khichdi, and kept silent watch by her side.
When she finally woke to find him asleep awkwardly on her couch, she saw what the poets had missed. Love wasn’t grand or tragic—it was quiet, patient, and unwavering. What began as arrangement had deepened into something utterly real.
This was 16 months back, and now they’re about to get married.
